So many of us spend our working day inside and during the winter we can spend even more time inside due to the cold/wet/windy weather. This can have a significant impact on our health in the short and long term.
There are many benefits of being around nature, some of these benefits include –

- Improves mental focus and concentration
- Improve your overall health
- Boosts your immune system
The key is to make sure you get outside even on cold wintry days, this can be done by going for a walk on your lunch break, having a cup of tea outside in your garden/garden center, visiting a National Trust or your local park or seaside.
If that’s not possible you could try the following tips to bring nature inside, spend sometime looking out of the window, bring in scents of nature – this could be natural oils, listen to nature sounds on You Tube and set your screensaver to a picture of nature this could be somewhere you have been on the weekend. Take some time for yourself in nature and see how you feel!
